Nintendo has launched their WiFi site, and it has a LOT of stuff on it.  I did a quick search for hotspots within a 5 mile radius of my house, and came up with over 20 results.  (For those of you who know the area, the Rohs Street Cafe even came up as a non-partner hot-spot.  I was impressed.)

The site seems to have some other cool features.  Now if I just had a DS, I'd be in business.....

Oh, the site doesn't appear to work with Firefox.  Big boo boo on Nintendo's part if I am correct.

Yeah, I'm interested to see how MarioKart DS will work with my wireless router.

The scoreboards are pretty neat, November 15th can't come fast enough.

No FireFox support is a huge boo boo.

Anyways are they not suposed to be making McDonalds WiFi for DS users?
If that was mentioned i apologise but i don't have time to swap into IE.

Yes.  The site displays partner and non-partner hotspots.  All of the partner hotspots in a five mile radius of my house are McDonald's restaurants.  I wonder what other partners they have.  Anyone see any partner hotspots in their area that are not McDonald's?

Yes, no Mc Donalds showed up in my search, but plenty of other places I was familiar with having free wireless internet anyway.  Bars, Holiday Inns, Panera Breads, Computer Stores, Coffee Shops, Malls, and some random restaurants.  But no Mc Donalds in the whole city showed up for me.  Weird.

Map was down when I searched, but the site looks cool.

I may pick up a few WiFi games.

Hmmm...I checked it out a day or two ago and it worked fine with Firefox on my computer.  Very strange.

::EDIT::
This link seemed to work for me, although some portions of the site are loading really slow (but that could just be my connection).

No it just loads disgustingly slow for FireFox for some reason.

Wow, that is impressive about the Rohs St Cafe. Thank God I will not have to be at a McDonalds to play online. Even nicer is that the DS supports 128bit-WEP, so yay. Too bad Mario Kart and Animal Crossing have a slightly narrow scope for their online games, but  I can live with that. We'll just need a sticky thread or something along those lines here.

On another note, Train your Brain has sold over a million copies in Japan. What an impressive nongame.

I checked out the list of compatible wireless routers, and mine is on there |D.  Now I just have to scrounge up $30 to buy Mario Kart DS when it comes out.
