Godfather: the game...

Apparantly, this game has been in the works for some time and is ready to come out in March. It's been keeping a low profile. Rumor has it that due to the licensing costs, it may have a limited production run.
The game itself looks good from what I've seen on gametrailers.com. It looks very GTA-like, but allows for more customization.

If they were going to make a game based on a Brando flick it should have been Last Tango In Paris.

No, Apocalypse now.
Anyways, didn't the director of the movie complain about the game? Something it being nothing but a dumb, violent shooter.

I don't know about where the complaints came from, but now it's considered Action-Adventure. From trailers that I saw it had elements of beat-em-up as well as gunfire. Looks like a GTA-style game.

Yeah I remember hearing something about that. He wanted to make sure his name wasnt on it anywhere I think.

Started to see commercials on this one on ESPN over the weekend. Unfortunately, the commercial didn't reveal much more than what was already seen on gametrailers.com.

I was really hyped about this game because for awhile my life revolved around watching the Godfather Trilogy (who could've guessed?) but now I don't really give a rat's mule. It'll probably just be another mediocre GTA clone and I really would rather just play the next GTA.

Yea, I recall hearing this also. The previews in the magazines for this game seem pretty cool. Sit down and read some previews my friends!

I'm interested in trying this too as I have read The Godfather many times. It's one of my favorite novels.

It is a good book, I've read it a bunch of times. My fondest memories of it come from listening to the audio version while playing Rainbow Six. Ahhhhh.

Oh man it was damn near impossible not buying this game today. I only didn't because some ladfy was trying to find out what an X-box 360 was and I didn't feel like waiting three hours for the clerk to explain.

I'm playing it for XBOX right now and I'm actually surprised Tommy Vercetti's father isn't a character in this game.
However, I'm not bitching as I really loved Vice City.
So far it seems like a very competent GTA Clone.
