I played this demo over the weekend, and this game is shaping up to be awesome! I'm hoping it has multiplayer.

It's just too bad that we have to wait until 2007 in order to get it.

The interesting thing about it is that it's 3rd person instead of 1st person (which would make it a TPS instead of a FPS, I guess) and that in order to continue to survive, you have to keep picking up thermal pods that are dropped from your enemies in order to keep yourself alive since it's set on a freezing planet (think Hoth from Star Wars).

The demo gives you a good idea of the types of enemies you'll be facing (insects, human troops), the types of weapons you'll be utilizing (machine guns, energy rifles, thermal grenades, etc.) along with the occasional vehicle (was able to get into a mech-assault style suit for short-term use and administer some carnage).

The action, sound, particle effects, etc. are all excellent. The demo has 2 missions of decent length that give a really good feel for what the game is going to deliver when it's released.

It wasn't on my radar before E3, now it is.
