I only own one pair of shorts, and I wear them when it gets hot enough.  Unless Speedo shorts count, because I swim laps in those.

I wear shorts all the time, even in the winter when I can get away with it and always around the house. I wear knee-length ones though and mostly men's cause women's are too short and seem to be made to ride way up your ass. I hate wearing pants and really hate long johns. I only wear em when I must and here in the winter you must if you don't want frostbite

EDIT: I also only wear shorts that have tons of pockets and mostly ones that have zippers and/or velcro pockets. I love buying camo BDUs and cuttin them off just below the knee too. If I can't fit half a subway sub and a 20oz diet coke in one pocket they just won't do. I hate carrying bags of any type and really hate purses. I do have a small Dickies cargo-ish bag (camo of course) that I'm known to carry at times though. That thing is small enough that it don't matter but large enough to hold both my DS and PSP

Girls wearing shorts is the worst fashion atrocity thinkable. Unless they're the really short tight kind.

I wear shorts when it's really hot, because I don't enjoy being hot. I doubt I'd wear them to school though.
