JWKobayashi comment in the Wii launch thread got me thinking. What systems have you bought/gotten at launch? Well with in teh first week anyways.

For me it was the Genesis, GameCube, PS2 and 360.

NES, PS2... I would say the 360, but I was shafted by gamestop Roll Eyes

I did have a DS within 2 weeks of it's launch.

None yet, now granted this is the first set of launches I've been old enough to afford on my own so we'll see, but I'll still probably wait for them.

I bought a DS a few months after launch, but other than that, nothing.  I think I had an Atari 2600 less than a year after its launch.

The Wii may be the first system I buy on launch day, but we'll see.

DS on launch date, GBA SP before launch date.

Sometimes it is good when you work at Best Buy and also when the street date is broken.

Got all of my systems with the exception of two, a year or more after launch. I bought a DS about half a year after launch, and a 360 several days before launch (which doesn't count since I won it). I'm pretty sure the first system I'll buy at launch is going to be Wii.

Game Boy, Genesis, N64, Playstation, GBA, GBA SP NES, DS, PSP, GameCube, Xbox 360. Of those I pre-ordered and had paid in full: GBA SP NES, DS, PSP, and our first Xbox 360.
