I went into the cafe I used to work in for lunch today. I was having a good conversation with Gordon, the old guy, when suddenly in an entirely unprovoked malicious attack of boringness, he started droning on about how I need some direction in my life.
I know I'm bloody wasting my life away, I don't need some old fart to waffle on for half an hour about it for me to realise that. Each time he paused for more than a few seconds I opened my mouth to talk about something else but he started up again. I had to leave before he went on any further.
When I tell people I don't know what I want to do in the future they say "Go to college, then on to university". To do
what
? It's no use just going back to school if I don't know what to do there.

Yeah, I think a lot of us feel that way.
We need to band together and create global chaos, or play video games, or something.

Someone pour me a drink...I just did my taxes and I owe $5,000+...
Owning your own business sure has its sucky sides....
Make that TWO drinks...
That sucks, I dread the day when I make enough money to actually have to owe something.
All the money we made went into fixing our house and paying off major debts we had for years...oh well, maybe we'll enjoy ourselves a little more this year...
While taxes are the MAJOR downer for having your own business (along with absolutely no health insurance), working for myself/from home definitely has its advantages...I answer to no one!
Except Uncle Sam...
And my wife....
...aw shit....

Well that went fairly smoothly, just updating Windows which will take a couple years.
I didn't do any partitions though, I couldn't remember how and I didn't feel like messing with it. Is that a problem?

It's raining,
It's pouring,
The old man was snoring,
He bumped his head in the middle of the night,
And couldn't get up in the morning.
I feel the writer wanted to share his father's death experience through the medium of poetry in order to imbed the story in the reader's mind. The rythm of the stanza ensures this. The image of pouring rain makes the audience realise what a miserable day it was for all. However, in my opinion, this was good for the economy as it meant there is now one less old git to give state pensions to. The rain also helps the economy as it enables farmers to grow crops and fills reservoirs, enabling the citizens of the local area to eat, drink, and wash.
The extra water supplies give the opportunity to produce beer. Beer is good. It gives the police force something to do late at night at the weekends.
If the police had nothing to do they would become bored leading to demoralisation. Low morale can cause depression, an issue often linked with suicide. Which brings me back to the subject of the old man. Was his death intentional or accidental? The writer doesn't give any clues as to what the case may be, however I think he might have been murdered because that would be more interesting than simply tripping at the top of the stairs. The murderer could have pushed him in the dark, meaning their identity was concealed. The stormy weather would have stifled any noise of an old man tumbling down a flight of stairs, so the old man's wife would have remained in a deep slumber. Or was the murderer actually the old man's young, beautiful wife, only after his wealth?
In conclusion, I don't think we will ever know because the police are damned if they do and damned if they don't. No one will ever be happy that they're doing the best tey can because they are simply overwhelmed with paperwork and red tape imposed by the Blairite government of modern times. To find the culprit of this malicious attack would require untold amounts of bureaucracy. I blame Tony Blair for this poor soul's demise.

It's time for a sexy party... the painful part of the optimized search script (for submissions) is finished, and it is a lot more forgiving than it's predecessor.

I'm bored and kind of in between doing things, so I've spent half an hour trying to get my PC to cool down. I've opened the windows but the CPU is still around 40ºC. SpeedFan says the case is around 36ºC. CoreTemp says the CPU is 50ºC! From reading around, it seems other people have no trouble getting the CPU to around 30ºC.
The room temperature is about 20-21ºC.

If you have an AMD processor your CPU temperature is not that uncommon.

It's a Core 2 Duo E6300.
Somehow, opening the room's windows made the system temperature go up to 43ºC. I installed Intel Thermal Analysis Tool which also says the CPU is ~50ºC. I've opened the case which has broought the system down to 37ºC. SpeedFan must take its temperatures from somewhere different to CoreTemp and Intel TAT. SpeedFan's CPU temperature is down to 37ºC but TAT is still ~50ºC.
Maybe I should have bought that aftermarket cooler when I got the PC...
I should go play on the laptop while I let the room and PC cool down.

You ever listen to a radio station, and they play a lot of decent songs
(which is why you listen to it)
, but they also have this selection of about three or four annoying / just plain terrible songs that they play OVER.
AND OVER.
AND.
OVER.
?

I used to do that, but then, because of that and because I hate commercials, I stopped listening to any radio other than the NPR old person's station that Nepenthean and my old next door neighbor introduced me too.
Unless it's Bob and Tom in the morning, I can deal with that.

I caught my dad looking at porn and probably wanking, too. I didn't see it but he was flustered when I called to his office, and his belt was undone. So I checked the router's logs and there are some porn sites in there. The dirty old cunt.
I reseated my PC's heatsink with some fresh paste but that hasn't helped at all. Now the temperature is going from 42c at idle and 65c under load. It would go higher than that but I didn't want to.

can you change the power to your CPU in the bios? It might be that it (for whatever reason) is set too high. I'd check the manual before doing anything though.

The voltage is set at 1.3250v according to CoreTemp..... It doesn't look the same as what I remember reading about on other forums.
