I use SETI@home on my laptop.  Now I think about it, I have a linux box that just sits there that could help too.

I used to use SETI@home, and then I realized that Folding@home will get meaningful results much quicker.

Don't get me wrong, I believe the theory of infinity which applying it states that there is guaranteed life somewhere else out there, but it may take millenia to find it.
