Damn I missed that game. Sounds like it was exciting.

The Germany / Italy game was cool, although I would have liked to see a shootout.

Shootouts suck.

@Captain, I agree. And it's unfortunate. At least hockey has a specific penalty now to discourage it, though. Many other sports will follow.

That was just stupid. No matter what Materazzi said you don't do that, not in the world cup final. Why did he head butt his chest anyway and not his face, seems a little bit strange.

Materazzi apparantley called Zidanes mother a terrorist whore and said the Italian team had all slept with his sister. Both Zidane and Materazzi have denied this but the tabloids over here have had lip readers decifer what they are saying.
