Cap'n, was your son excited on his first day? I can't wait till my wife & I go out and buy our daughter school supplies/clothes for her first day. =)

Yep, he was pretty excited. It's amazing what schools want the kids to know coming into kindergarten Shocked

Well as I figure it my kid is already going to be the smartest in her class. As well as having the best hand eye coordination. This is all thanks to video games and time on the computer. The Sega pico has really grabbed her attention, she really enjoys playing the games. It makes me happy because she is learning something in the process.
I am currently working on getting her more Pico games. I am still contemplating on getting her a v-smile for Christmas. Edutainment is the best thing ever (except lightspan vomit ) I think my little gamer will do me proud when she enters kindergarden. If not she will be popular talking about all the bad guys shes killed on The New Mario Brothers.LOL

I remember Kindergarten was hell for me due to some mental problems. And a few years after I passed that grade I was told the teacher went insane. I didn't cause her going insane or anything like that. FWIW... I now look forward going to college.

Things did get better, and I got help for my problems. Smiley

My daughter played a bit of Pico when she was younger. She really likes the PC though. I've picked her up a ton of educational games dirt cheap at the thrifts. She's particularly fond of one called "Huggly Saves The Turtles".  She also really liked "Miss Spiders Tea Party" for the PS1. The two of us beat the campaign on Shrek 2 for the Xbox.

Her big kick this summer has been reading though. She's read about 60 books so far and most of them have been early chapter books. I've got me a smart cookie too.

oh and she starts second grade next week.
