Bangai-O

Week: 10.08.06-10.14.06
Game: Bangai-O
Console: Sega Dreamcast
Year: 2001
RFG ID:  U-071-S-00140-A
Publisher: Crave
Developer: Conspiracy Entertainment
Genre: Shooter
Players: 1

Game Page Address: http://www.rfgeneration.c...l?ID=U-071-S-00140-A&

This week's features are all about the Sega Dreamcast.  The Dreamcast might have been ahead of it's time, but at least we got some great software from it!  This week's featured game is Bangai-O.  An interesting shooter that plays like a platformer.  Got some info about this game, some pointers on how to play, or an opinion on the game?  Discuss!

This game rocks so hardcore.

If you enter your name as the last selectable character i believe it is a cat or something similair then you get inf ammo.
I have beat it a few times with and without infinite ammo.
It is really cool to use the special firestrike thing that could blow up tons of shit on screen.

A great shmup and a must have title for the DC IMO.

I have not tried that one yet, but I'm glad you have chosen it to be Dreamcast week!

I think I picked this one up at an FYE that was closing. I only tried it a couple times but I remember it having some frantic action. I think I need to give it a play soon.

You're my hero. Vanilla Ice RULES! I can't believe that there is another SERIOUS Vanilla Ice fan on this site. The special edition DVD should be called "Cool As Ice: Drop That Zero Edition".

Nah, it's just got anime graphics of awesome. I heart anime graphics.

While I haven't tried it out yet, I have heard of the elusive "Prize Edition". Only, what, 5 of them were made?

I bought this game for the dreamcast, tried it and didn't enjoy it. It's just not my type. I also hate anime, which this thing is laced with.

I was wondering though, how does the n64 version hold up to the dreamcast version? If I remember correctly, the graphics are very small and detailed, something the n64 doesn't seem very capable of of producing.
