I'm sure most of us here have played on many consoles. And I'm also sure most of us have a list in their head; console x is better than console y, but console y is worse than console z.

This is the place to put that mental list. You can put all consoles you've played, but please don't put consoles you haven't played or only played on an emulator.

From good to bad:
Playstation So many great games, I can't possibly list them all here; Tekken 3, Tenchu, Tomb Raider 3,  Vib-Ribbon.

Master System The first console I bought. Games like Sonic, Castle of Illusion, Wonder boy and phantasy star make this system brilliant. Colorful graphics that put the Nes to shame. If only more games were released for it. (although over 300 in Europe isn't so bad)

Dreamcast This game has a higher good to bad game ratio than any other console. Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, Mr. Driller, Virtua Tennis, etc. etc. Great console.

Playstation 2 The first console of the list I'm not 100 percent happy about. Sure, it has great games, like the GTA Series, Silent Hill and Virtua Fighter 4, but also so many stinkers I pretty much stopped looking for new games to buy. The gamecube and xbox being more powerfull doesn't help much either.

Saturn Actively collecting games for this system has not only shown me all its great games, but many of its bad games too. Unfortunately most of the games are bad. Luckily there are some brilliant games (sega rally, panzer dragoon series, Virtua Fighter 2, and some more) that make this system pretty good.

Nes Ducktales and Duckhunt is what I like about this system. I don't care much for most other games, but these games are great. I wish I still had one.

Mega Drive/Genesis I always thought this was a bit of a prettier master system. Sure, it has it's unique games, but nothing very special. Nothing other consoles hadn't done before.

Game Boy Color I can't stand the original gameboy, but this one is pretty good. Technologically it's far behind the other handhelds on my list, but the incredible amout of games puts this high above the others.

Xbox This system would rock a lot if more interesting games were released for it. Morrowing,Knights of the Old Republic and rallisport Challenge are all great games, but they have ports on other systems too. The xbox version is usually superior, but I still feel a bit cheated. It could be so much more.

32X Yes yes, I know. Biggest failure 20th century. I don't care. All I care about is Virtua Racing. Best racing game ever!

Gamecube I bought this system because it was cheap. I tried some games and liked them. Games like zelda windwaker and monkey ball. But I just couldn't get into them that much.

Neo geo pocket color Such a beautiful machine with so few interesting games. The only game I want for this thing is Sonic. It's brilliant, but not enough to warrant a higher position.

Snes I'm not interested in Nintendo games and I'm not interested in rpg's. I know there are a lot more games for this system, but I don't really care. It just doesn't appeal to me that much.

Wonderswan color A very funky and powerfull handheld. Great graphics, but very few understandable games and horrible to hold. Mr. Driller is a blast though.

Game Gear Huge handheld, takes loads of batteries and has a poor, yet backlit, screen. The only good thing is the posibility to play master system games.

Nintendo 64 I tried to like the n64, I really did. But I just couldn't. I don't care about nintendo games, and those are pretty much the only quality games on this. The horribly blurry graphics are the nails on the coffin.

Jaguar If  your best game is an inferior port of a pc game, you know the rest of the system isn't that good either. Hardly more powerful than the snes and a horrible controller. Pointless machine.

CD-i What an awful piece of crap. Not ONE good game. I bought a cd-i with over a 100 cd-i's and non of them was worth playing. I'd use them as coasters, if I weren't so ashamed of owning it.

game.com Just plain awful. All games are bad. ALL OF THEM. In all possible ways.

From best to worst

NES - It's always been my favorite system.  It's probably because it was one of the systems that I grew up with.

Playstation - So many great games.  The RPG's alone are enough to make this #2

Dreamcast - The system I played during some of the funnest times of my life.  It's almost hard to find a game that is genuinley bad.

SNES - Another system that I grew up with.  There were some great games out for this system, specifically the RPG's.

Atari 2600 - the first system that I ever had.  The games are simple but fun.

Genesis - The system that I always wanted as a kid, but couldn't get my mom to buy for me.  Now is my largest single console collection.

Turbo Grafx 16 - I've only played one or two bad games for this system.  Too bad there is only one control port.

Master System - A very fun system, but for some reason doesn't seem to hold my attention for as long as the NES or Genesis.

Saturn - Despite a number of great games, the large amount of stinkers on the system wiegh it down.

Atari 7800 - It is what it is, and that is not very much.  If only it was released in 84 instead of 87

Intellivision - what were they thinking when they made the controllers.  They bring down the fun level on most games.

Atari 5200 - Once again, nice controllers.  The games are OK, but the constant repairing of controllers sucks.

Sega CD - there are way to many FMV games for this system.  Even the great RPG's can't save it.

Gameboy - This system hasn't aged well at all.  I seem to remember this being fun, but I can't remember why.

32x - Come on.

N64 - I can't believe I used to defend this system.  Outside of an outstanding first generation of games, there isn't much reason to buy this system.

Jaguar - How can it be a good system if there are only 10 games for it that I'd want to play.  Pathetic.

3DO - to be honest, I haven't played this system to much, that is why it is down so low.  It might actually be good.

Game Gear - See above

Just for the record, I decided not to judge any of the current generation of systems as one good wave of games could significantly change my opinion of them.  Also, I counted the Ganeboy and the Gameboy color as the same system.  It's not like it's a huge difference between them.

Genesis- My first system and the MK series was way beter here than on SNES and Sonic was so edgy when i was young and impressionable. I will always love Sega. It was such a good underdog.
SNES- Tons of RPGs i love and alot of good franchises.
DC- So many good games but so neglected. It got caught in the middle of next gen systems and N64 PS time period.
NES- Love the classics that they are bringing back dont love the prices though. Stick with the original.
N64-I feel they could have done so much more with it than they did.
Playstation- Tied with 64 i think with all the releases they should have tried to make more good games.
I don't really dislike any of these systems i love them all. Every system i have played that i own i enjoy. But each has strong points and weak points. Did not rate any systems i dont own. And didnt rate the next gen systems for the same reason as Sauza.
