"In the last few days things have been anything but normal, but we hope that now there is some return to Normalcy now that we have our games database back. I can't guarantee that it's going to be completely smooth sailing, but I sure hope that it is. Collections, Searchs, hopefully everything should be back online."

Yay! That's great news.
But of course a very valuable lesson has been learnt, and it's one we all seem to learn the hard way.
Despite how well something may be going, even if something is never meant to be possible. Always back up that is valuable to yourself as you really never know what may happen.

Ya I'm glad it's back to normal.  That was driving me nuts not being able to see my collection!

Ironically, my computer died the day after that post.  Shocked

My hard-drive was just blank all of a sudden. No boot device or whatever it says when you turn it on, so figured I'd just retrieve what I could then resolve the boot problem. But nothing, my hard-drive was blank!

I had used my USB Flash drive just recently for a large file, so had to take off all my important files, and stored them temporarily onto my computer..... so all gone. But who thinks about backing up a temp backup?

So will I change everything I do? Well no, I am not going to live life making backups of backups of backups.

But that was just such a scary coincidence, and one I just can't explain.
