In an attempt to sell our old mini and entertain ourselves, my dad and I went to the Classic Car Festival (http://www.classiccarfestival.com) on the circuit in Assen. About an hour driving from my place. Since there are some car enthousiasts here, I figured some of you might be interested in the pictures.

My dad's transport

My transport (the mini we wanted to sell)

Looking, looking, but no buying.

Austin Healies. These are the reason these events are often the same. Whenever a car show is being held, loads of these show op *yawn*

A sweet, sweet, sweet, Alfa Romeo

An even sweeter Alfa Romeo

Jaguar E-type. I like this car, but the color doesn't suit it at all.

Bentlies

I have no idea what this is, but it looks pretty cool.

Marcos

MG

I think this is an MG too, but I'm not sure.

Fiat 500 Abarth. This car rules so much.

Lagonda, I think, but I'm not entirely sure.

Same for this one

And this one

This one too

Definately a Lagonda

Rapter Huh never heard of that before

Rolls Royce

Talbot

Stutz

TVR

Austin, I believe

Lotus Elan

Lotus Elise

Triumps

I don't know what this is, but it looks funky

Some old motorcycles (or mopeds, what do I know)

Jensen Interceptor, this car rocks.

Some other Jensen

BMW (duh)

Some old trucks

Morgans

I thought this little statue on the hood was funny. I've never heard of the brand though.

This man wore silly pants, but he probably looks silly without them too.

If anybody's interested, I've got high resolution images too. Just ask for it.

Nope, we didn't sell it. There weren't that many people, so we decided to leave after a few hours. We did get in contact with some guy that sells mini's though. Maybe he can send some interested buyers our way.

One of the cool things about living in Detroit is that we have shows like this constantly.  Next weekend is the Woodward dream cruise.  It's basically where a bunch of old asses drive around in thier hyper sweet cars.  Look it up on the web and you should see some nice pics.

Sweet cars. I was going to go to a car show yesterday too...but i got my NES stuff instead. Not much of a trade off. i would of like to have gone.
I like alot of the vintage cars they just look better than the ones from the late 80s and 90s and todays cars are to expensive for me.

Is your dad's car an early 80's model? It looks like the Espirits I remember being out in those times but I really haven't followed the progression since then.
