Given that the awesome game that is Guitar Hero II is coming out this week, and shaggy is probably on his honeymoon, I thought this question would be an apt one-- how many music / rhythm games to do you own? I'll let you include any games you'll be purchasing this week too, since there are two big music games coming out this week, Elite Beat Agents and Guitar Hero II. So rock on, rock on!  freakboy

Well I wouldn't say I hate them, but I don't own any, so maybe a "None" choice would be in order?

None for me. But I might pick up the 360 version of GH2 when it comes out in the spring.

Not a huge fan of rhythm games, but somewho three of them still managed to find homes among my collection (Unjammer Lammy, Parrapa 2, and Mad Maestro).  I never understood the appeal of these games (with the exception of Guitar Hero), but they are obviously very popular now.  Nintendo should have been all over these 20 years ago when they introduced the PowerPad.

I must admit a guilty pleasure.  I love DDR.  Also like most of the other games named.  The biggest problem I find with most north american releases is they feel like their balls have been cut off.  I know that's a harsh thing to say, but when you compare the games between the various regions release you often find not only largly different soundtracks, but more often fewer songs total for the N/A release.  Beatmania for example.  What we got wasnt such a bad title what with it's throw away pop songs, but when you compare it to the japanese release it feels a bit lacking.  About two thirds of the song count lacking.

I'm not a huge fan of DDR type games, but that's just because I'm horrible at them.  But, after a few drinks, my wife and I have been known to hit the local mall arcade and make asses out of ourselves on whatever DDR type machine they have.

I have the Gamecube game Mario Mix and Donkey Konga (lots of fun).  I've also got Mad Maestro for the PS2 and it's alot of fun, but I'm not sure if it falls in this category.  I'm sure I've got others, but I can't think of any right now.
