Who here downloaded the Wii News Channel update? I got it just a few minutes ago, and I've been playing around with it. It's way better than the Forecast Channel and seems updated fairly often, a lot more than the Forecast Channel's pathetic excuse for current weather conditions. It's very good with zooming in and out, and it even reformats the page as you zoom. The only thing I would include on there is the ability to subscribe to RSS Feeds. That would be really nifty, especially with how great of a job it does with zooming.

I'm at school right now, but I'll update once I get home. Glad to hear though that is better than that sad excuse for the Forecast Channel.

The only thing that isn't good about the news channel is that there isn't a globe you can spin. Sad

However, the slide show feature is a great way to get a good overview of the news and see what interests you.

Nintendo really needs to make the forecast channel more like this...

Um, there is a globe you can spin.  And for some reason it likes to think Nashville is the main center for news in the US.

I found how to do it! :-D

It's not very obvious how to get to the globe view. You gotta click on the map when you're in a news story. Anyways, holy crap, this globe kicks ass! Not only can you spin it, you can try and get the news story stack high score! My high score is 137 in the WASHINGTON Area.

Hah! If you zoom out far enough Nashville gobbles up all the stories.  It gets above 200 iirc.
