Smiley  This is my auction.  I bought this at Toys R US back in...2002 I believe.  I haven't seen too many of the Red copies of GT3 around.  I haven't seen the box around too much either.  The system was actually stolen from my house in a burglery about 3 years ago along with a lot of other vid game stuff...heh. =/

I guess I should have dusted off the box a bit ...lol.  I'll make sure to add this to the Hardware if it's not already along with pictures.

That's the system I have. It has worked perfectly since day one... knock on wood.

When I worked at EB we would get these in from time to time. Also the games came in randomly as well. Not too rare as there are a few million out there like it. I doubt it would fetch much by itself, as we didn't give any extra for box alterations, then again EB wouldn't.

The only thing that makes it sort of special (IMO) is it's was the first pack-in/special edition for the system. That is, unless I'm mistaken.

Any difference to the game other than the red box art?

Heh, quite a coincidence.  Cheesy  As far as the gameplay, ya it's the exact same as the regular version as far as I know.  The disc label is red like the box whereas the og. GT3 has a blue label.

I'm almost positive it was the first pack-in PS2 set as well.

I seem to remember that's what pushed me to buy the PS2 in the first place. Same price as the system alone, but with a good game too.
