Power cable monstrosities

Tell me about any ugly power supply setups you all have seen in gaming. Most are a simple, standard 3-4' (1m) in length. A true work of elegance is the interchangeability of the PS2 and Xbox power cables.
To share my own experience, I have an Atari 2600 cable that is 16' (4.88m) long. I can plug it into an outlet in another room if I wish, and its impossible to bundle the cable around the power adapter, its just too long.

The ad adapter for the 2600 is one long mother. My cd-i has a interesting power cord. Similar to the wii's how its a external adapter with a cord that plugs into the wall and a cord that plugs into the unit. The big hunk of cheese is right in the middle. <~~{{{{}}}~~> The connector end that plugs into the cd-i is similar to a phone cord.

I think I have the same Atari power plug as Oatbob. I have never measured it but it is a lot long then any other power cord I have. I can't think of any other strange ones I have.

For my NES I use an old keyboards AC adapter. Dunno why they interchange but someone tripped and stripped my NES adapter, I tried out some old ones laying around, and that one worked.

He's referring to model 1 PS2's. Dreamcast cables, PS1 cables and I think Saturn (don't Quote me) all use more or less the same power cord as the PS2 and Xboxs.

Actually, I was referring to the slim PS2 cable. The part that goes from the wall outlet to the external power adapter can be exchanged with the Xbox cable. Wow, I just checked, and Tan's right, Dreamcast and PS1 cables do work for each other.

You can play Gameboy even if you plug the AC jack into the headphones slot.

I always really liked the N64 hookups. They took up much less space. I don't really have any problem with any specific power cord, but they sure do get mixed up in my floor. A couple of weeks ago I had 7 different systems sitting in my floor with their cords going every which way. I couldn't even see my PS2 anymore. I cleaned it up, but it's only a matter of time before the same things happens again. I guess that's part of the game.

Even I've got to admit that the brick is ridiculous. I hope they figure out a way to replace it.

Maybe they could just get an internal power supply like on the PS3.

The bloated wall wart for the Colecovision can be a real pain. It's so heavy that it unplugs itself when it's put on the end of a power strip. Now I just use a normal extension cord specifically to plug in all of my consoles. (Not all at once, obviously
) It's just so much easier to let the ac adapter rest on the floor.
