I liked the VCS version. But I was more of an arcade rat myself, and enjoyed this game more in the arcade.

What better game to play on Earth day next Sunday the 22nd than one where your in charge of Earth's defense against Invading baddies.

Because you are very strange!!!!

Space Invaders is awesome.... I might try and hook up the VCS tonight and give it a go. I am sure any score Tan would post would be easy to beat.

I'm an arcade rat as well and not much of a VCS player. I had to look at my collection to see if I even owned the 2600 version.  Tongue

Yes!!  Easily my favorite 2600 game.  Its different than the arcade version, but this one works!  I wish I could say the same about that abomination that is Pac-Man.

I had a Space Invader coin op and I got rid of it. STUPID STUPID ME! Cab was in awesome shape. I needed a new tube for  it and I didn't have money at the time for it so I sold it. Sad

LOL, I remember finding the 2600 version in the hidden christmas loot the year it came out.  So when my parents went out a couple of days later I had a friend over and we played for hours.  Then it went back in the box and waited for my "surprised" look on Xmas morn.

I remember how anxiously I awaited this game to come out back then. It brings back an excellent, warm, nostalgic feeling every time I play it now.
