I say it's probably tougher for you and you have to do it very carefully.
1) Lots of people trade with international people, but it is harder to find trading partners because of the high shipping costs, customs, and ability to avoid fraud.
2) Most people won't buy or sell cheap things internationally because it make no sense to buy a $3 game if it'll cost $25 to ship, so most international deals will be bigger deals involving more valuable stuff.
3) You're a new member here and you'll have to stick around a while before someone will risk trading with you. That goes for domestic people as much as international people. Stay on any internet board long enough and you'll see some new member come in and scam people for some games or money.
4) People probably will sell to you almost instantly. If you see someone selling something and you want it, ask the seller and go for it. You're assuming most of the risk for this transaction, and by completing transactions with people here, you will build a good record and people will extend trust to you and will be more willing to buy stuff from you and start doing trades.
5) Welcome to the board, you're probably the first Croatia gamer I've known. I know lots from the Netherlands, the UK, France, Italy, Australia, but never met a more eastern European gamer.
To the others reading this that don't know where Croatia is, it's south of Hungary, and it you don't know where that is get an Atlas
