I know some systems such as the Gameboy Advance, Atari 2600 etc have large homebrew scenes but what about some of the other systems?

I know of Beggar Prince for the MD and Frog Feast for the SNES (and lots of other formats) do these systems have any other homebrew titles released for them?  Wikipedia says the NES has a large homebrew scene yet I've never come across a homebrew NES game...are there any about?

Also, what do people reckon about buying these games from a collection standpoint. I realise there'll be some dross and some quality but do people think some homebrew games will eventuallly become collectible? Much like some unlicensed NES games have?

NES Homebrew is in the form of repros unless i'm wrong.  At GameReproductions.com and NESReproductions.com you can put pretty much any hacked or homemade ROM onto an NES cart.

Yea AFAIK for the most part the NES homebrew scene is mostly in the form of ROMs and EMUs...

GBA i know has a huge Homebrew/Dev scene its just a matter of getting into it.
Dan was making simple GBA games and working on a kind of gradius clone when he moved onto making a homebrew game for DS which has been pushed back because his free time is now spent with his new girlfriend.

Really cart based or older computer based systems have a TON of homebrew stuff out there but it is just a matter of knowing where and how to look.

If i ever go thru my secondary harddrives i could find some homebrew stuff and make it available.

There are some NES homebrew games around.  The first official original one was the Garage Cart from Memblers on NESWorld, which contained 3 original pieces of software IIRC and was sold in a limited numbered quantity about a year or two ago.  The latest homebrew with original content is the Sudoki game for NES made from scratch and to be sold at the CGE this year I believe (although could be at a different show).  Lastly, the latest homebrew goods are from bunnyboy, check www.retrousb.com (PowerPak Lite, NES World Championship 1990 reproduction with fixed time setting, homebrew parts, etc).
