Greetings,

Hey guys, a guy i work with says his uncle is cleaning out his basement and has quite a few systems and games he would like to get rid of.  He doesnt know the titles, and the dude is about an hour and half away from me.  He is asking for a price for the whole lot.  I am not sure what to offer him so i thought i would ask you guys for an estimate of sorts.  Here is what he has:

Atari System with 80 games
3 Nintendo Systems with 12 games
Nintendo 64 with 2 games
Super Nintendo System with 2 games
Sega Genesis System with 4 games
Sega Game Gear System with 5 games
XBOX with 2 games
3 playstation games
3 gamecube games
3 gameboy advance games

My original plan was to offer:

$10 each system
$.50 each atari, sega, gamegear game
$1.00 each nintendo, n64 and snes games
$5.00 for each xbox, playstation, gamecube and GBA games.

Grand total of:  $205

Do you guys think this is too much or too little???  I am going tonight.  Hope to hear from someone.

Thanks,

Adam

200 sounds like a good starting point.

I'd say 200 is fair.  I'd give that out though after you look at the lot.  80 atari games could turn into 80 combat's etc.  Hopefully the basement there in, is nice and dry.

I'd start by saying $150.

You could probably get it for cheaper than that if they just want to get rid of the stuff and don't know much about games.

Tell them you really want them and ask if they can read the games over the phone. I would say that's a good deal, without even seeing the game titles. Do what Mezmoron recommended and throw 150 bucks his way. You never know, they may bite. Good luck and let us know how you did.
