"In the 21st Century, if you're doing 200 mph, you're holding up traffic." Well thats what the box says, and the game follows through and lives up to that reputation. Outrun proves to be faster and challenging than kart racing, yet more simple and fun than your more hardcore racing simulations.
This particular game seems like an earlier version of those futuristic racers we all may have played at some point or another. Rush 2049, the F-Zero series, Star Wars: Episode I - Racer, and Kinetica come to my mind. What comes to yours?
