I hate to barge in like this, but I think this guy is just here to promote his own forum. But that's just my crazy self.

When i buy games i don't bother to open them until i am actually going to play them.
I do the same thing. The bad thing is when you open that sealed game a year later and find out it doesn't work. Little too late to return it then.

nice to read that here are some guys who really can understand the whole sealed collecting thing.
Would be nice to see your sealed games in our sealed collection areas on SGH !
best greetings
I'm right. Nice spamming. You reached two pages becuase other people here don't have the keen sense of spam detection I have.

Dood its totally not a ploy to try and get us to go over to that site.
I use to do that all the time with RFGen noone ever accused me of spamming!
Of course i would make myself a known fixture in the community by posting, using features, making suggestions, opening topics, talking to members then plugging RFGen.
And i would generally stay a member there for a couple months(in some cases years) or until the site went down. Which ever happened first.

Maybe I'm just paranoid. If I am, sorry about that.

I received two sealed Neo Geo AES games in the last week. How fun it was to remove the sticker and expose the new cart and manual to the elements in my home. BTW the games that I opened are Magician Lord and Alpha Mission II.

I got my first sealed things that I don't know if I should open. A GB camera and Printer. They look like so much fun, and I don't have loose ones, but they can't be too hard to find. So, for now they stay sealed, but if I can find loose ones this summer, they may get opened up.

If I find classic games out in the wild that are sealed, they generally are going to stay that way. If the time ever comes that I am forced to sell my collection, having them still sealed will bring a lot more money in.
For newer games, I only open them when I want to play them. This has brought on some tough decisions for me though. For instance, I have a sealed copy of Powerstone 2 for the Dreamcast that I bought brand new. I never got around to playing it, but I have the urge to play it now. The thing is I don't want to open up a sealed copy of one of the rarest games for Dreamcast.
I'm probably going to just hold out hopr that I can find a cheap loose one some day.

The new issue of Video Game Collector has an ad for Brians Toys, which is offering to buy factory sealed NES games at outrageous prices: $600 for Gumshoe, $300 for Donkey Kong, etc.
