Looks like Sony has some issues with Firmware 2.40. Be careful kids, be very careful.

Makes me glad to not have a PS3 yet.

Very interesting.
I bought a PS3 through Sony's online store on Monday night, and it has not shipped yet.  The rest of my order shipper on Tuesday.  I wonder if the PS3 I was supposed to get had the new firmware on it....

It won't.

And from what I've seen, most people who got the 2.4 update last night (including myself) have had no issues with it. Hopefully Sony gets this stuff ironed out ASAP.

If it didn't effect the Blu-Ray functionality, I wouldn't care.  I just want it to be here now. :-)  I've got some movies sitting here in preparation for its arrival.
The only game I ordered for it is on backorder.  (GT5)

Don't forget the Prologue.

It's the only one out at this point, right?  Is it really necessary to include?

You forgot the A and put a 5 instead of a 4.

^Thought about getting that, and I may eventually, but I really don't think I would play it much. I played Vice City a ton, but only because I was on the PC and could modify the cars.  I don't think I ever completed a mission.

Well this is kinda dumb to begin with. I mean you can litterially just hack the darn thing and unlock all the features and give it the ability to play region free. The only thing is the netplay part that is iffi where I heard they could shutdown or cause your PS3 to explode.
I mean come on why bother if the thing needs upgrades all the time.

(I know he is banned, but I want to clarify this so people don't believe him...)

The PS3 is automatically region free from the start. No mods needed.  Cheesy
