Something I always wanted to do.

Yes, I'm sure there are a lot of alternatives I could try, to emulate such a thing. But I don't want to really.

Just, one day, I'd like to get two colour t.v's, two PS1's and link them together and play DOOM, &  that tank game.

Probably won't happen though  Angry

This is something I haven't even thought about doing in years.  The last time it even crossed my mind was probably before I even owned a PS1.  So, I haven't done it yet, either.  Of course, I don't have enough friends, and especially not enough gamer friends, to do something like this with.  Maybe at a gaming convention I'll get the chance to someday....

Im pretty sure there was a soccer game that supported 16 players for PS1, but I may be wrong.

That's going overboard.

Just take it out to the field.

ive never done it or seen it done but i know each player got there own tv and i think you needed 2 copies of the game and the special connector all in all i would say not worth it for 1 match of doom but if it was something you did alot go for it

I dont think many people actually link 2 PS1s together. I would say that it isnt really worth it for any shooter unless you really hate peekers.

that or you hate having to loose half the screen to aim on. which drastically effects aiming.

I'd love to play some racing games on a pair of linked ps1's. You get all the fun of a multiplayer game with people in the same room, but non of the annoyances of having to share a tv and a ps1.
The only problem I can think of is the lack of space and the lack of 2 good quality tv's.

You could always just go to a furniture store and take your PS1's with you, hook them up, and hope nobody cares.  Maybe if you get some teenager employees, they'll join in on the gaming.  And if ya get kicked out, it still makes for a good story to tell people later on.
