Sentinel Beam...crap weapon or does it have a purpose?

After getting my head caved in on Backwash, and having almost no success with the Sentinel Beam weapon, I'm of the opinion that it's garbage. I mean, how long do you have to have the laser blasting on someone before they just die?

Anyone have success with it?

I have but not on backwash as i have not played it yet.
The beam is good for taknig down the shield.
Then beatdown or pull out another weap and finish the person off IMO

Its great for beat downs  Tongue I dont think one full blast can kill somebody , but long range shield damage.... Yeah , it can do that.

I keep getting my ass handed to me on the new maps!

It seems that I consistently keep getting shot before I can even detect anyone near me on my radar. Therefore, I'm finding it very difficult to get the initiative needed in order to take anyone down.

Anyone have any advice?

And when i did play on a few of them it was me roaming aimlessly.

I got a GoldenEye feel from elongation
Reminded my of Comlpex for some reason...

Could be modders with auto AIM. I really hate modders and they need to get a life !

I dont play matchmaking right now simply because of the rampant cheating. I will wait for the auto update that is supposed to take care of it.  Cry
