So you've always wanted to donate to this wonderful website called RF Generation, but maybe you wanted a little something in return for your donation, well, now is your chance.

As many of you know from reading my Treasure Hunt Chronicles, I recently acquired another Atari 2600 for a really cheap price, so now I'm passing those savings onto RFG. What I am doing, is setting up a little silent auction for one Atari 2600 (4 switch "Vader" model), 5 joysticks, 1 set of paddles, 1 AC adapter, as well as the A/V cord. I tested the 2600 and a few of the joysticks and they all worked perfectly, so I didn't bother with testing the other stuff. It's all in great shape, the system looks to be in mint or near mint condition. The controllers are all excellent as well.

How this will work is: Starting right now, PM me with a price that you are willing to pay for it all (shipping costs will be added onto that amount, the box weighs approximately 6 pounds, 13 ounces and will be shipped from Zip code 44436, so you can get an estimate of what the shipping cost will be). The person who sends me the highest amount within 1 week (by 12:01 AM EST Friday September 18, 2008) will be deemed the winner of the Atari. That person will then be responsible for sending his/her winning bid amount to RFG's paypal and the shipping cost amount to mine. Once both payments are received, it'll be shipped directly to you.

If you have the winning bid, you'll receive full Donor status and all the perks that has associated with it as well.

Here is what you'll be bidding on:

Feel free to PM me or post in this thread any questions you might have.

I congratulate you on this fine idea Smiley

Question: Is it for US-only?

Answering for Nes_rules, cause I believe this is what he would say...: 'Of course not! But do you want to pay shipping to Belgium (or any other country) plus the cost of the donation?'

I say that it should be open to all. Let us hear NES_Rules official stance on the subject.

I didn't really want to go internationally, but I suppose I can. However, the shipping alone would be at least 40USD.

Congrats on doing this NES_Rules.  I was thinking of doing something similar to this to raise some RFgen money.  I like vaders so I'm sending you my silent bid.

Thanks for the bid!
You're more than welcome to do something similar if you want. It's a great way to give back to RFG and making space.

No problem, I was just curious. I'm not really into consoles as old as the 2600 and I already have anyway, so... Wink

I'll just do a regular donation when I want to Smiley

Come on guys, send me some more bids for this fine piece of technology!
I received very few bids, so you may even be able to score a really cheap Atari.

And remember, the money goes to keeping this site free to use and free of ads.

Oh, I didn't know that. Is that written as a rule somewhere on the site? I've never heard of it before.
