Hit up an estate sale round the corner. They had BAD prices on alot of stuff ($35 for an N64 with no leads or controllers), but they slipped up on a few things. It was the typical "Mario is worth $15!" kinda thing. I managed to make out pretty well.

Came out at $30 for everything. The manuals & maps turned up in a totally different room from the carts, so it was worth digging around a little!

Thanks. It's a real shame because they had some decent commons for N64, NES and SNES but all too pricey. I tried to haggle and explain to them that the prices are set a little too high, but they had a "professional" price them up for them. Sure honey, if someone gives you $15 for Mario Bros/Duck Hunt let me know. I may swing by on Sunday to make them on offer on the dregs, but I'm not overly excited about it.

Yeah, it's a shame when people get bad pricing advice.  Makes them not want to sell for less than what they've been told their crap is worth.  Best you can do is show them completed sales of the games you want as proof, but if the games are pretty common, it may not be worth the effort.

The thing is, when something is woefully under-priced, I'll actually give them a few dollars on top of the asking price. I don't mind telling someone with a stack of $3 games that *this one* is worth a little more and give them five or six bux. It feels like a much more wholesome transaction. Sadly, it's more often the other way around these days,.

It's technically hardware. Can I submit it to the DB?  laugh
