I booted up the Master System to test it out, and just had to check what game it had built-in. I was excited to find it running the stupid maze game. I always liked the maze game because when I was a kid, I had some relatives who had a Master System, and when they showed me it could play a game without a game inserted, it just seemed really nifty.

Master System 1s had a maze or snail game inside. I think there were two or maybe three different Master System 1s with a single different game in them. Master System 2s had either Sonic The Hedgehog or Alex Kidd (Not Alex the Kid as a lot of people wrongly say).

What do you mean with "1s" and "2s"? Is it the original design and the smaller version?
I have an original SMS (rectangle) with Alex Kidd inside.

Yes. A Model one is the rectangle one, and model two is much smaller. My SMS M1 boots with Safari Hunt/Hang On.

From the flea market:
The Incredible Hulk (Mega Drive version) - $1
From Game Stop
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (PS2) and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (Xbox) ~ $9
They messed up the price at GS for my benefit

I wasn't sure if I'd ever pick one of these up:

But I found one for $150 so I thought why not.

$150 is a great price! (Or is it normal that they're that cheap?) It's a 20Gb model but still.

I bought Pokemon Pearl for DS a few hours ago.
I'd been thinking about doing so for quite a while, as Pokemon is one of the games that really influenced me years ago and I like a lot, but I never did actually go out and buy it. I found some old gift cards for Wal-Mart that were about to lose value which finally pushed me over and caused me to get it, since it became essentially free.
