I recorded the inauguration. I'm very happy on this day indeed. I'd want to show my children (if I ever have any when I get older) it.
I did as well. I'll probably burn it to DVD this week. If anything it will make good material for school project some day.
I'm just saying don't get your hopes up so damn much. You're up to be sorely disappointed. Obama can't just magically fix things, and there's absolutely no evidence in his favor that he can.
DOW dropped under 8000 today...
He replaced Bush, he's already a success in my book.
I know he can't magically fix everything, if we're lucky he'll fix a few things and set up for the bigger problems to be fixed by the next President.
I likewise don't understand the Bush scorn. He has done exactly what he said he would when he was elected; he managed 9/11 well, and was gracious in stepping down. Where's the damned problem? Don't say recession, it wasn't him.
I think the Bush resentment stems from the fact that he narrowly won both elections and he just comes off as a moron most of the time. It's not necessarily what he did, but who he is.
