According to one 2012 theory the Earth's polarity is going to switch. No electronic devices will work. I guess we chose the wrong hobby considering the circumstances and possible effects.

God, don't remind me...

The last time I was in Oakland, I took BART up to see a WWE house match with a friend at the Oracle Arena, where the Warriors play. After the event, I'm sitting at a bench on the platform, waiting for the next train to take us back home, when I noticed a guy sitting about eight feet away from me...

...and, lying on the bench between us, well within reach, was his machete.

Needless to say, I was prayin' he and I weren't gonna board the same train...

...for about ten minutes.

At one point, one of the BART transit cops walked up the platform stairs, saw the guy and the machete, and very discreetly walked back down the stairs. Probably went to call in the REAL five-o I suppose.

As you can imagine, I haven't been anywhere near Oakland since.

Yeah I live two miles west of Detroit and believe me those two miles are a night and day difference. The only time I really go to Detroit is for sporting events or the North American International Auto Show in downtown.

Detroit's violent crime rate is down 10% from last year, yet were still #1 in the most violent city category.

Livonia (Where I live) has been noted as one of the safest cities in America with a population of approx 100,000 and an area of 36sq miles. The worst thing that happens in Livonia is someone gets caught selling pot once in a blue moon. Not much of a crime.

Once you leave the actual city limits of Detroit and enter the Metro areas it's quite a nice city. And Downtown Detroit is a very nice part of Detroit, the the residential area of Detroit sucks and their is no defending them.

You can go from run down slums to mansions in a mile or two in my area.

So yeah I can say I'm not livin' in da hood.

Oh and to stay on subject I offer you this awful song that relates to this subject

That just means those collections that have a lot of cardboard are going to skyrocket in price!

I was more like, "I sure hope nobody notices that I'm sitting in a puddle of my own fear-urine."

But hey, why can't the apocalypse have an upbeat soundtrack?
