I swear, from this day forth if I see a Mayan I'm going to kick him right in the sweetmeats.

Technically, according to actual Mayans and scholars this whole 'doomsday' scare is just a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar.

TIME TO BE A BUZZKILL!

Near the end of this year the Mayan calendar calculates the end of the current astrological cycle, depending on who you talk to it is the Age of Pisces, the Age of Aquarius should follow it. Now I'm going to blow some minds. Pisces is a fish, since astrological ages last a bit over 2100 years we can look back in history to find a major event that occurred roughly two millenia ago.

Oh right, the advent of Christianity. Aquarius is a human. So what this new age could mean is a true age of man, not of myth.

Kind of ancient news there bud.

About 5 years ago, history lecture, some dumbass asks if the Mayan doomsday prophecy is real.

Class halts, professor is an expert on pre-Columbian cultures in Central and South America. Dumbass keeps trying to make it sound like the doomsday talk on Fox News is the correct interpretation. Professor verbally owns her, class laughs hysterically, she is never seen again.

I thought I'd celebrate the original day of infamy by letting you all know that you've 2 weeks left.

Hopefully, those who participated in my Holiday Give-Away will receive their claims before then.

BTW I still have a few tchochkes left, if anybody who's not already called dibs is interested.

HEY YOU HAD THOSE VAN HALEN THINGS LAST YEAR!

The real reason the mayans died
http://zombieresearchsociety.com/archives/1688

Spaniards bringing disease had NOTHING to do with it. The mayans would have predicted that. You can't predict zombies though.

Romero did.  I saw thousand of those damn things at the store today, and because of his movies I knew that smashing them in the faces with pies was both effective as a defense and comical.  Worked perfectly and I was able to escape with my life (and wares).

All the Mayans ever did was run out of room for a calender and die.  Stupid Mayans...

I was going to mention the same thing.

This year, I even offered both sets together, and there weren't any takers.

I have one more gambit, though...

One week to go, folks.

Even though last weeks ' USA Weekend newspaper supplement stated that the whole deal was preposterous, it leades me to wonder if it wasn't just some sorta propaganda designed to lull me into a false sense of security.

Well, our fellow RFGentlemen west of the IDL should be feeling the wrath of the apockyclypse pretty soon, now.

Especially Australia, a place that knows a little something about that kinda stuff--

What's that, you say? The Mad Max movies aren't documentaries?  Shocked
