It is reported that in Ronald Weinland’s sermon today, he has moved the date to Jesus’ return to the next Pentecost, May 19, 2013

Somebody needs a better secretary if they can't get their appointments right.

Dude probably figures he's gonna get it right one time, eventually.

And when he does, you're gonna be sorry you doubted him.

We would so be watching T2 tonight but we are watching a three year old instead.

Don't worry, we'll watch it this weekend.

Hmmmm, now I feel like I'm cheating judgement day.

Wow, has it really been 17 years since the war against the machines began?

Where does the time go?

Where does time go? The whole thing has to do with time travel. Did you not pick up on that?

This year we had a choice. The 2000 Ultimate Edition DVD or the 1991 LaserDisc.

The DVD case is soooo shiny

The Ultimate Edition was the first DVD I ever bought. I'm pretty sure I've seen it every year since. Probably more often than that back in the halcyon days of only owning a handful of DVDs. My wife has only ever seen that version of the movie with its 19 or so minutes of extra footage.

Since we got the LaserDisc version this year, and because, lasers, we went with the big disc.

At first I thought this was going to be a Rambo movie

One thing LaserDiscs often have in contrast to DVDs is a wider dynamic range for the audio, meaning the quiet parts are quieter and the louder parts are louder. We've noticed this before on the couple other movies we have on both LD and DVD but on Terminator 2.......it's AWESOME!

The transitions from quiet parts to loud ones is great. It's the audio version of when movies go from long dark scenes to bright day ones, or like in Pitch Black where the screen fades out to complete blackness.

After walking through the worst clean room set up ever.....

My wife was really into it. She even let social media know how great the sound was on this version of the movie, more than once.

It's only like the best arcade game ever

At one point our 1400 watt subwoofer shook something off a shelf so we decided to take a break and make popcorn.

I got a little sumpin' extra!

This version of the movie also has that one guy in it......

Yeah, pretty sure he was known for being in Double Dragon:

Anyways, this is one of those movies we watch on a certain day every year, thanks for the reminder Zagnorch!

Hey now!

Just a week to go until the 18th anniversary of the war against the machines. Well, according to the first two Terminator flicks, anyway. You know, the only two worth watching?

Meanwhile, there's a new "IRL" Judgment Day approaching: an asteroid impact set to occur some time between the 15th and 28th of September.

G0dd@mmit, why does this civilization-obliterating event have to (sort of) coincide with the release of the new Skylanders set?! Hopefully, I can complete the Adventure mode before Lucifer's Hammer strikes. This is a bunch of bull$#!+...

The war against the machines is now old enough to tie a few on... in the U.S. at least.

Or it would, if the entire surface of the earth wasn't a scorched, irradiated hellscape...
