The Ultimate History of Video Games is a really good book. I wish I had it. The one I read was from the Library.

My gaming related books are all spread out all over the house. I'll try and take some pictures of at least some of them....

I have lotsss of video game books. I'll make a list later. But I'm reading Service Games right now. It's a bit flawed editing wise, but a great book nevertheless. I guess the writer is working on a 2nd edition that fixes a lot of the editing. But really, I'm enjoying the first edition plenty.

Most recent one i got was the Game of Thrones art book that amazon had bundled with the game.
I have a bunch but there are all over the place...

Game Over was an awesome gaming history book too.
I am pretty sure my mother grabbed me it for Xmas years ago.

Can you name the font from each game on the book? The "The" still puzzles me. The rest I can get. Defender,Donkey Kong,Zaxxon and Pac-Man.

Mine are mostly novels, though I've got quite a few art books scattered around the house. We also have a ton of what could be considered video game books, if you consider RPG modules based on video games "books".

Took two pictures. I don't know for sure if this is all of the the game related ones, I don't think it is. We have something more than 1500 books in the house and some are put away. And I did cheat and take a picture with strategy guides in it because I didn't want to bother pulling them out.

We also have some comic books, like Atari Force and I have some simulation games that came with very big, multi-hundred page manuals/books.

Ha! I had no idea the hard bound Myst book is what would get comments. Both my wife and I very much prefer paperbacks. We've even gone out of our way to replace hard bound books in our collection with the paperback version.

The hard back Myst is a very neat book. It has a worn look to the pages and the cover is textured, there is embossing too. My mom bought it for me for a Christmas or birthday when it was first published. I have seen other copies, I'll be sure to grab them when I see one next.

Actually, for the longest time we have avoided buying game tie in books. Often the literary value is, um, you know....I really wish we had more gaming history books, those are often pretty good. There are several I keep an eye out for.

I discovered I have a second copy of that Wing Commander End Run, if anybody has the slightest interest let me know. I haven't yet read it myself, only because I've been waiting until we had the whole set to start in on it.
