I purchased an aftermarket Genesis 1 AV Cable of ebay(composite/RCA) a few weeks ago but it really bothers me that it is aftermarket and not the original product. Does anyone know where a buy an original Genesis 1 cable(made by Sega back in the day)?

Also, does anyone have any tips on how to differentiate between an OEM cable and aftermarket ones?

Thank you!

Original ones came in a Sega box like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N...D1%26sd%3D281007673890%26

That box just doesn't seem to match what I would expect from an official product. I would expect it to look more like:

I guess my question is more of how to identify a loose cable. Is there a SEGA marking on it like Nintendo multi-out cables for SNES/N64/GC or some other give-away?

Duke's link is for a Genesis 1 AV Cable, while the one you provided is for a Genesis 2 AV Cable. Just an FYI, it's a branding change.
I think it has a Part # of MK-1601, if I'm not mistaken, but I don't remember if that's on the cable or not.
