Picked up a few more GC titles today. Nothing worth a picture, especially with how difficult it is now that my phone is out of play for pictures. $3 bucks each.

Hello again,

I took a different route than usual in today's thrifting run as I hit several stores that I seldom visit, either because they're too far away or yield jack diddley. Boy, was I in for more than a few pleasant surprises...

- Been finding some cool CIB & almost-CIB big-box PC games lately, including Air Warrior III for $1.99 and Terminator 2029 for $3.99.

I almost missed these: CIB Final Fantasy I & II and Asteroids for GBA and GBC respectively, and a loose Cannon Fodder GBC cart, all for $10. And the boxes are in pretty awesome shape, too. Whattaya think of that, huh, Bil?

Thought so.

Aaaand moving on:

- Game Boy Color and Pearl Pink GBA SP with Link's Awakening and Finding Nemo carts, $20

- CIB Syberia, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone and Gun, $3.50 each

- CIB The Fifth Element, $2.50

- Five GameInformer and two Official XBox magazine back issues, $3.00: one of the mags included a little bonus.

Oh, to relive those halcyon days of the swine-flu scare...

While California's drought might be ongoing, my thrifting drought has been broken with a vengeance!

And now, the coolest "score" of the day:

I did a little grocery shopping in the middle of my thrift run, and upon exiting the store I spotted this little lady loitering on the sidewalk:

Not wanting her to get stomped into bug-paste by a passerby, I placed my outstretched hand before her to crawl onto-- which she did without hesitation-- and took her to the nearest bit of shady greenery:

Just call me... the Mantis Whisperer.

Hey, I kinda like the sound of that... BRB

Hey everyone. Got some NP's from Shadow (not our Leader) but just plain Shadow.  I am trying to get the whole set...about 40 percent there ;-) This is a side collection from the two major ones I am trying to complete (Sega Saturn & NES) and upgrading my set of Sega 32x.

I've always thought those were the coolest insects, some classmates and I caught one, when I was in third grade.  We kept it in a terrarium in our class room, it laid an egg case and died not too long after.  aaand later on the case hatched and we had tiny mantises all over the classroom.  Not sure our teacher appreciated that...

I've been dark for the last week or so.  Moving into the new place and no internet yet so I have to do this at work all covert like.

GamerNick-Nice Famicom!  I have yet to  fire mine up but don't tell Duke...Also, make sure that you simulate ALL of the Trains.

shaggy-Nice Dream Drop guide.  Every time I go on vacation I rediscover that game and have a blast with it.

nupoile-SALAMANDER!  One of the fami carts that everyone with a fami should fami.  Also, that 3DO will change your life.  Food will taste better, the air will smell fresher, and people will ask you "what the hell is that thing? Does it play DVDs? Can I run Quicken on it?  But I want to simulate trains."

GrayGhost-Earthbound.  Good work.

Zag-You know what I like.  Does that Terminator PC game have paper for WAYNE GRETZKY HOCKEY THR33?!!!

Boshamp-That Wolf 3D is great.  Treat him well and he will always be good to you.

Sauza-Grabs of the year so far.  NHL 2K5 and 2K7.  Joy Thornton may have lost his captaincy but that doesn't make the game any less fun.

Went out and did a little hunting with Nick and his brother the other week, splurged on a couple things I've been wanting.
For the PS2 we have... Bully, Ar Tonelico and Ar Tonelico II, Atelier Iris 3, Akiba's Trip for PS3, a Jump Pack and VMU for the Dreamcast,
and a manual to go in one of my boxed NES'

and speaking of Nick, got a few items from him to add to my collection.  CIB Indy 500, and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
As well as a box/manual for Chase.  Few random Saturn games, Street Fighter Collection being the highlight for me.

Another handful of games from Japan, courtesy of senseiman again...  Spelunker, Fantasy Zone 1 & 2,
and a CIB copy of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei

and of course, MORE XBox 360 Collector's Editions from our very own Tynstar....
Dead Space 2, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Tron Evolution.

Got another goody or two to post, but I'll get around to that later.

I almost get jealous too just having this in my collection Grin
It sucked the money out of me though, but it's impossible to find this cheap due to the big Starcraft fanbase and low production numbers.

Wow what a haul. Good mix right there. A boy and his blob. Haven't played that in a while. It's pretty fun.

He got those to you quick! I personally have two of those, I am happy to know they all have the numbers on the cases though, I have been in love with demos for a long time now.
