Nice!  I almost grabbed the Chromedome re-issue when it was at Walmart but just never pulled the trigger.

I was on the fence about getting Chromedome, myself; I originally thought the car alt-mode looked a bit too silly. However, by the time I finally decided to grab one, Wally World had sold out. Various online secondary-market sellers are currently generally offering them for a little under twice the original asking price... and I'm still considering getting one.

Only time will tell...

Some finds from the local toy show yesterday.  The vintage Star Wars Droids Uncle Gundy has marker all over it but it was stupid cheap so I'm going to try and clean it up.  The ExoSquad mech is actual from the KB Toys "Tech Wars" line where they reused the molds to make generic toys.  It's missing the missiles and driver but they are pretty uncommon and again, this was really cheap.

I'd almost forgotten that most of the original G1 movie Transformers toys had some really silly-looking robot modes. Fortunately, the more recent releases are a lot more faithful to their G1 counterparts...

BTW I went through quite a struggle with my payment for this bad boy, which I'd preordered back in September with gift codes. While it finally got cleared up, it took six calls to GameStop customer service reps over the course of seven days.

BTW my "tribute" is focused on the corporate & upper- and mid-management parts of GameStop, and not at any of the customer service reps with whom I interacted. To a person, tgey conducted themselves in a reasonably friendly and professional manner. I wish them nothing but much better, far more fulfilling jobs after GameStop inevitably goes under.
