I really should get my hands on an Optimus Prime of some sort, I miss my old  G1 I got so many years ago as a birthday present from my Uncle Sad

They seem to re-release it every few years, particularly in Japan. The japanese rereleases, although pricier, are preferable, as they have the long smoke stacks and still have die-cast metal in 'em.

I would like to upgrade my G1 Optimus at some point. I got the 25th anniversary version with original smokestacks added. Not a fan of the colors though.

Well when you finally do upgrade... can I have your old one?

ANYway, I thought I'd show you a recent thrift pick-up:

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm is a worthy successor to the Maverick. They retail new for $12-$15, but it's been out long enough that you could find one at a thrift or yard sale for a couple bucks. If you do, for Eon's sake GRAB IT. Well, make sure it works first...

Don't forget to pick up a Slurpee while you're at it.

BTW have you ever heard of Skylanders?

If I had a 7-11 within 100 miles of me I would...

and yes, yes I have heard of Skylanders.  A fellow by the name of "The Exalted Reverend Archbishop Zagnorch P. Welinskivich II, Esq." sent me a copy the holiest of scriptures, by Prophet Eon, to go with my Starter Kit and Empire of Ice pack I picked up.

Found these at TRU while looking for games. I figured I could get the entire set of 4 all at once for around 8 bucks, so I went for it. Even though I haven't been a part of WoW for several years, I still think these look pretty cool.

Found this in a Savers "Grab bag" with a couple travel board games. It has never been played with, but the mini Donatello is missing. The stickers weren't even put on the pieces. I am thinking someone bought this for the figure to play with another playset and never used this one. Who really knows what happened though?

Very awesome. Another TMNT collector! I loved those sets but I had mostly the Mighty Max ones.

Picked up more Lego stuff, but before that:

Forget that other guy from Boardwalk Empire that played Zod, Terence Stamp was the true version from what it still arguably, the best Superman movie of all time (Superman II).

On to the Lego stuff:

These Junior sets are pretty simple but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to get those versions of: Batman, Robin, and Joker. The Batcave isn't fancy by any means but affordable and still offers a couple play features.

Next up:

Stoked to have a decent Lego JLA now:

You should say away from that dude, he's a freakin' weirdo. Take it from someone who knows.

Meanwhile: I found a Target-salvage Transformers Age of Extinction Optimus Prime Deluxe Light-and-Sound Battle sword for just $1.99.

I'd only want one if transforms into an actual, working PlayStation.

Holy freakin' crap. I want that Zod figure.

Your local Toys R Us might still have some on markdown.

I know one near me still has a couple of 'em.

I could get one for ya... but that would mean putting the Miracle Piano foot-pedal hunt on the back burner.
