looks like DirectX 12 has been/is being revealed and will be a massive improvement on performance instead of a bunch of fancy new graphics. better load balancing over multiple CPU threads/cores, with up to as much as 50% decrease in CPU load.

also extremely compatible, will work on all existing graphics cards as well as Xbox One, smartphones, tablets, etc
