I would consider having all the games as a full set

Sweet! I knew I could get Crabby into unlicensed, homebrew, and imports at some point! Wink

Those aren't games. Those are cancers in my collection folder!

I realize as I read over this thread and think about it, I apply the same line of thought, to all the things I collect. Many of you know me as "The Cobra Commander of Prince George". Well, actually, i Am the only person that thinks that, but just the same. I am the resident GI Joe guy on RF Gen. Being a huge GI Joe collector, many would probably assume I would want EVERY figure they ever produced in the vintage line (82-94) but the fact of the matter is, GI Joe started to become oversaturated and ridiculous with neon colours and ninja teams starting in 90-91. I cannot and will not bring myself to acquire all the figures from the last 4 years because they would sully the vision I have for my collection. The only thing I have ever had the desire to complete, is comic book runs. Other than that, everything else I collect, has a finish line far sooner than others. Its the only way I can rationalize the collecting for myself.

The wonderful thing about collecting is, that it is fluid, and completely open as to how you want to proceed with the hobby. There is no right or wrong way to collect (unless your endgame is to destroy your collection) as long as brings the individual joy.

I can honestly do without any of the unlicensed NES games as well as homebrews, counterfeit Nintendo World Championship, etc. The only unlicenseds games I can think of that I like are Micro Machines and Tetris.

So...how do people feel about Aladdin titles for NES? Separate set? Separate console?

I consider the Aladdin Deck Enhancer to be an accessory but I don't know enough about the games to know if there is any difference outside of cosmetics. The gold cartridges obviously look a lot better. I used to have all the Aladdin games in like new condition along with the enhancer- they were surprisingly cheap- not sure what they're going for now but I might've paid 100-150 for everything.
