As most Dutch people know, tomorrow (well, later today Wink) there's gonna be a huge celebration in Amsterdam to celebrate Queen's Day.  Not only will there be loads of parties, live music/concert, and a crowd of over 2 million alcoholics Smiley,  but the biggest flea market (or so I've heard Wink) of the year will be held there all day, throughout most of Amsterdam, called the "vrijmarkt."  So, I'm wondering if I'm gonna have to compete with anyone from this board! Wink  Don't worry, I'm primarily going there to party and check out the concert and music, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna ignore the vrijmarkt  Wink  Unfortunately though, I'll be arriving in Amsterdam a bit on the late side, around the afternoon, so checking out the vrijmarkt probably won't be that worthwhile for me since the market starts really early in the morning...I'm convinced that enough early birds out there will beat me to the good stuff Wink  But ya never know Tongue

A good day to stay inside and play video games. The last place I'd want to be is Amsterdam. Too many people. Way way way too many people.

I guess by now you are probably there or possibly even done looking and gone, but I think Rene Lips was probably there.  This is judging by his most recent post at his site at http://www.renelips.nl

Could be that Rene Lips also went to Amsterdam, but on koninginnedag there are flea markets all over the Netherlands (I didn't realize this early enough Sad), so chances are he got those items at different places in the Netherlands.  Unfortunately for me, there were just about only commercial stands in the center of Amsterdam, so after about 2 mins I gave up on the whole flea market idea and just concentrated on partying....had a great time...a bit of a hangover, but it's all good Smiley
