Grabbed a copy of Diablo for PS1 at my closest Goodwill for $1.99, no manual but that's still a deal!

Also got this t-shirt with my Gamestop rewards points. I'll bet gamer4lyfe will like it!

Hey now,

With the end of summer, the local second-hand scene is starting to yield a few decent pickups...

- CIB Aqua Aqua for PS2, $1.95

- CIB Heavy Rain and Genji: Days of the Blade for PS3, $3.99 each

- Sealed CastleVania X Chronicles and CIB God of War: Ghost of SParta for PSP, $1.95 each

- CIB Rabbids Travel in Time 3D, $3.99

- CIB Extreme Go-Kart Racing for PS1, $2.49: Yet another addition to my generically-titled AgeTec/A1 release subset.

- CIB Nerf armor for PSP, $3.99

- Tyco Power Plug for Super NES, $2.00: instead of paying through the nose for an enhanced controller with the turbo/slo-mo built-in back in the day, you could have paid through the nose for one of these to enhance your regular controller instead.

Hey all! Picked up a few things the last couple of weeks.  My brother picked up a few things too.  I paid off a layaway which was a CIB system we needed for our collection as we only had a deck only.

So here is the rundown - Sadly I won't be able to make it to RetroWorld in CT :-( I so wanted to go but my company blocked out the first two weeks of October for inventory.  So I was able to pick up a few things namely baseball cards to complete a set I got for Christmas that wasn't complete.

Here it is:
Thrift store - Everything was $0.50
- 1 Quiz Whiz with the handheld and 3 Books/Cartridges
-Sealed PS2 Multitap
-MVP Baseball - PC - CIB
-Zoids Assault - Xbox 360 - CIB - Another Atlus Title off the list
-ESPN NHL 2K5 - Xbox - Brand New
-Star Wars Jedi Arena with Manual - Atari 2600
-Shanghai True Valor - PS1

Local Store -
-Sim Town - PC - CIB
-Duke Nukem 3D - PC - CIB
-Final Doom - PC - CIB
-LEGO Island - PC - CIB - Yes your seeing double haha we got a sealed one a few weeks ago.
-Lost Eden - PC - CIB
-Pokemon Ruby Version - Box & Manual - Now I have a CIB
-Men in Black to go with my Empty Box & Manual
-Duke Nukem GBC (Not Pictured - Box and Manual Upgrade)
-Mission Impossible Box & Manual - GBC - Need to Find a Cart
-AND OF COURSE the CIB Sega Genesis Model 1 -- Been wanting one for a while now I'd like to get my hands on a few other variants of this system.
-Donald Ducks Goin Quackers - PS1
-Monsters Inc - PS1
-Hercules - PS1
-Disney Golf - PS2
-Gradius Collection - PSP - Brand New
-Dragon Warrior VII - Prima Guide (FOR SALE!!!)
-Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 - Prima Guide
-Dragon Ball Z Budokai - Prima Guide
-Legend of Zelda A Link To The Past/Four Swords - Prima Guide
-Mario Kart Double Dash - Prima Guide
-Sonic Advance/Rush - Versus Books - With Poster

eBay -
The Rocketeer - CIB
Grandia - PS1 - Manual Only

and

FINALLY The Last Working Designs game we needed for PS1 - With Lunar 2 Demo CD!! YAY!!

What the hell is a "GIS?"

ANYway, I found me a magical Skylanders Giants tote bag:

Whelp, let's pop this bad boy open and see what's inside...

Ooh, a pearl-blue GBA SP with Super Mario Wolrd GBA cart? Pretty good start...

All righty, what else is there?

AsciiWare turbo pad for PS1...

CIB Action Replay dealie for XBox...

Atari Flashback 1 plug-&-play (missing manual and AV cable).

Aaaand, finally, the most magical vidya score of the day:

HOLY FREAKING CRAP IT'S A COMPLETE BOXED SAMBA DE--

--MANIA?! What the--?!

One of these is NOT like the others.

Wow... this plug-&-play setup has to be one of the most shameless knock-offs ever. Just check out this disclaimer:

That's it for the vidya scores... but there's still a lotta magic left in the bag, which you can see at

I was wondering what a GIS is, too.  Zag, I don't know how you do it but, man, you find some amazing deals on stuff.  We get nothing in WI.

@Bil that's one heck of a welcome present for the new baby.

@Nick beautiful Vanguard Bandits.  Congratulations on completing the set.

@Zag. I saw a Wii knock-off plug n play with the exact same disclaimer.  Shameless.

Some fantastic hauls, everyone! This last week has been eventful for me as well!

Here's my big reveal: a Sony WEGA Trinitron set I got from my coworker, who got it from his parents. They gave it to him to recycle, and he gave it to me, knowing that I would make good use of it with all my game systems. I have it hooked up in the bedroom, and bow howdy is the picture spiffy! I have the Xbox 360 connected via HDMI, and am using S-Video for my SNES, PlayStation, and N64, and am currently rocking the NES and Wii via Composite (more on that later).

Here's my very modest Goodwill haul:

My small take from one of the pawn shops - I now have the Xbox unholy trinity of Burger King games!

I hit GameStop to nab some component cables for the Wii, to use on the new TV, and got a good deal on this Wii Batman game also:

Here's my lone game store pickup:

And finally, my huge pawn shop haul in multiple parts! First, my original PlayStation finds:

My NES & Genesis scores:

My PS2 grabs:

And my Xbox deals:

I'd say I had a pretty good week of game collecting Smiley
