I haven't posted any pickups in this thread for a while, but I'm going to try to post here more often.  I'm really excited about one of my latest acquisitions and can't resist sharing it:

I've never owned a TurboGrafx or PC Engine console and don't have much experience playing the games, but I'm loving Rondo of Blood (only game I own for it right now).  I'm already in the process of hunting down more games for the system.

What a great system. Excellent score

A couple of pickups from the last 2 weekends.

Run Saber was dirt cheap Cheesy

I believe Captain America is one of the rarest GB games out there.  Got it for a good price too.

Nice Run Saber!  That game still eludes me.

Thought I'd make my annual score post:

It took a long time, but I finally replaced my bunk 3DS with something much nicer.  Really enjoying the SNES VC games so far (I have Super Metroid and Demon's Crest so far), especially the "perfect pixel" mode on them (square pixels rule).  The case was a couple bucks.  Not shown is the LoZ case I found, also for a couple of bucks.  It came with two Zelda themed styli, though my daughter has appropriated the Master Sword and taken to raise it above her head and say, "shlink."  Kids rule.

Found these at a local thrift.  DOOM 3 was CIB and $6, so I had to put a couple of things down (I only had $15 on me because most jewel case PC games count as music CDs, which are $1).  It is hard to see, but the Disney game is Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers.  Never knew they made it for PC, which is pretty cool.  And Microsoft Golf because I don't have a golf game for my Win 95 or 98 laptops.

I know the retro PC community these days is all about "Big Box" PC games, but I really love the uniformity that small boxes have on the shelf, especially with the "PC-DVD" cases, that are of an approximate size.  And that is my statement for the day ;P

So in typical fashion, I've been going overboard with the imports:

Most are PC Engine CD games.  There are also a couple of PC Engine, Saturn, and SFC games.

Hey now...

[...]

SO JEALOUS OF CRIMSON GEM SAGA! That has been on my PSP want list forever! Every time I find one around here its usually just disc only with fake artwork.

Well, if I find another CIB copy of it... it's gonna be going to someone else. However, for the next-next one I find, you're at the front of the line.

ANYway, today's big thrift find is a (mostly) mystery stack of N64 carts...

...that set me back a few pennies under $4.00.

All right, let's see what we have here...

What a disappointment; just a stack of third-rate shovelware. Nothing to see here, move along.

I also grabbed these later in the day:

Aaaand a few things I've picked up over the past couple weeks:

- Glacier GBA and Platinum GBA SP, $4.99 each

- Pink DSi, $17.99

- CIB Mystic Heroes for PS2, $3.95

- CIB Ninja Gaiden II for 360, $3.95

- Rogue Galaxy (no manual) for PS2, $2.99

- Game Genie with code book for Sega Game Gear, $7.99

- Japan-release Griffin cart for Sega Game Gear, $21

- CIB Warhammer 40K Squad Command for PSP, $2.99

And now, a little something to get ol' Nupey-Dupes all hot & bothered: all of my TI graphing calculator thrift scores from yesterday and today!

Now you know what the top of my head looks like. Hope you don't notice the flecks of gray...

finally pulled the trigger on the Blinking Light Win! about to put it in my NES and try it out. Also grabbed an HDMI 2.0 4K switch from Sewell Direct, 5 inputs with auto-switching and a remote control (this one: https://sewelldirect.com/...0hz-3d-hdcp-22-444-chroma).

Man, Zag, some more great finds!  I don't know how you do it.  For the most part, things are overpriced in WI or hard to find at all.

Hey now,

Man, Zag, some more great finds!  I don't know how you do it.  For the most part, things are overpriced in WI or hard to find at all.

So far I've made several offers to my fellow RF gentlemen to do thrifting runs, but they always come up with some lame excuse like, "I live two time zones over," "airfare is expensive," or "I don't have a passport." It's so freakin' pathetic.

Oh no... That's tape over the label isn't it?

Just over the front label for the Glover game, which is the least valuable game in the stack. Oh, and over the back label of Super Mario 64, which came off without tearing up the label at all.
