Getting into that hard to find more NES games territory there, Shaggy. Nice grabs.

@cverz2 - nice snag on Lolo 2 - I haven't seen either 2 or 3 in the wild in forever.  Such good games.

@shaggy - saw the post on FB, nice grabs!  The Desert Commander manual is a nice touch.  I remember playing that game at a friend's house when we were kids.

Man, it is getting to the point where it is hard/too expensive to get the games.  I'm to the point where I may just stop with NES.  Indy Heat is a good game.  It is so like R.C. Pro AM then I noticed that Rare made it which would explain a lot.  I was also digging Ghoul School.  That Saturn game, that Bil would love, almost puts me at 50 Saturn games, too.

Never played Desert Commander even though I have it.  Is it a strategy game?  Looking at the manual it seems like it.  I so love manuals.  Many fond memories of anticipation of playing the game when reading the manual on the way home from the store.  I hate this age of no manuals.  Make me sad. Sad

Yes, Desert Commander is a military strategy game, and a pretty decent one, I'd say.  It was actually my introduction to the genre, when I was 11 or 12.  Definitely a precursor to something like Military Madness/Nectaris.  Also, I agree - the age of no manuals is lame.  That's why I'm digging the NIS Switch releases, because they're actually printing NES-style manuals for them.

The NES were from Facebook, $28.  Eye of the Beholder was $20 off of Ebay:

That puts me at 612 games.  Eye of the Beholder is one I had back in the day but had to return it back to K-Mart twice because the graphics were all jumbled.  Years later I found out that it wasn't compatible with the CDx which was my Genesis back in 1995.  It is such a great game and now I have it back!

Great game.  The game gets harder the further you go down into the sewers of Waterdeep.  I beat all three of them on the PC.  This would make a great playcast game but I don't think you could do this one in a month.

Today I picked up the PS2 game "Prince of Persia: Warrior Within". Not played it yet, but it's got a metacritic score of 83, so it might be good. Anyway, it cost me 50p (70c US) and the retro game shop that sold it gave me two copies of the manual.

Some poor soul out there's got a copy of the game without a manual.

I have no clue why they do that. They can clearly see there's a manual in the case before they shove another one in there.
