It really must be Halloween, 'cuz I got some scary great deals! It's all treats, with no tricks!

All right, let's start off with this:

This, along with these bad boys, set me back around $16:

Yo, check out my trick-or-treat basket:

Let's see what I got...

That's 20 NES games for a penny over $14, including the most important NES game of all time by far:

Have a Happy Hollow Weenie, y'all.

California is a magical land, indeed.

It should get even more magical as we head toward the new year.

Gotta love all those tax-deductible year-end donations...

Arcade Classics Volume 3 "Bubble Bobble" & Gradius Viny

Spoiler (hover to show)
Arcade Classics 3 features music from the golden age of the Japanese arcade scene.
From Bubble Bobble to the soundscapes of Pu-Li-Ru-La, and into the pulsing electronic beats of Rayforce.

GRADIUS 1 has the complete soundtrack of both the 1986 Famicom/NES version and the 1989 enhanced MSX port.
The MSX port uses the Konami SCC+ chip for enhanced audio and was never officially released outside of Japan.

I took advantage of Tar-Jay's Buy-2-Get-1-Free promo on (almost) all of their video games, and even grabbed a couple thrift scores along the way:

I picked up the Banjo-Kazooie N64 cart for $0.98. Then there's the complete boxed silicone Switch controller cover, which looked kinda strange when I placed it on my own joystick mount for the very first time:

This is why I don't put on my own condoms anymore.

But worry not, my fellow RFGentlemen-- my second effort was dead solid perfect:

I guess we can have nice things some times.

Although I already had Super Bomberman R for the Switch, there was one big reason why I grabbed the Shiny Edition for the PS4:

Technically, one big reason and one small reason.

I had a hard time deciding which of the three Mega Man Switch games-- Mega Man 11, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2, or Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2-- I was gonna add to the promo stack. Early in the deliberation, I eliminated the Legacy Collection 1 & 2, since I already had them for the PS4. I was leaning heavily toward the MMX Legacy compilation when the Crustacean King of the Great White North dropped his latest game review blog...

http://www.rfgeneration.c...2000/Mega-Man-11-3814.php

...and put Mega Man 11 over so convincingly, I simply couldn't resist. It's really sad how susceptible I am to peer pressure.  Sad

Oh, and then there's Sonic Mania Plus. I basically bought this to let Razor Knuckles know that I'm still thinking about him from time to time. Stay safe, bud... and all my other RF Gen homiez out there as well.

That Zuntata vinyl is awesome!

Finds from the weekend. FINALLY found a complete copy of Trapt for a good price and managed to find a copy of Giana Sisters DS at a gamestop. Dino Crisis 3 and Nanostray 2 were upgrades. Phantasy Star II has the manual but no map or hint book unfortunately. Also finally completed the Rolling Thunder trilogy.

@zagnorch - I'm interested to hear how you like Mega Man 11 after you play it. Legacy Collection 1 is really amazing. It's got a lot of great extras too so I'd definitely recommend picking it up at some point as well. Legacy 2 doesnt have nearly the same love put into it and is has by far the weaker line up. Unless you're like me and just need physical versions of MM 9/10 you can skip that one though.

@shaggy - that's a great gift!! I had so much fun with that game!!

I was wondering how it was.  Like FF?  Looks like there is a job system?

Each character starts with their own job. After some time you'll be able to unlock anyone's job on different character plus a few unique ones if you explore the world a bit later in the game. The battle system is a fun take on standard turn based. I really loves the mechanics of the game. The post game was quite enjoyable also.

"Active Health with Carol Vorderman" (DS)

It was only 50p and it was complete. shrug

"F355 Challenge: Passione Rossa" (DC)

Luckily, the fragile case only has a crack on the front...
