Music and Games

Am I the only one here who sometimes mutes my games and listens to the radio or CD's instead of the original game FX? I do this a LOT with PC games in particular, but sometimes with console games too. It always irritates me when there are FMV's in games without subtitles, because I end up having to stop my music for a few minutes and then start it back up again.
I listen to TONS of different kinds of music in general, but usually when I play video games, I put on metal, punk, or trance.... something fast and intense. Am I the only one here who does this? Or are you all purists who MUST play a game as it was "intended" to be played?

The first time I play through a game, I listen to the game, becuase the music often gives a hint at what is coming up next, (boss fights ect.)
On subsiquent play throughs though, I listen to a cd player usually, especially if the game has sucky music or I have heard it 98 times (castlevania sotn).

I do this ALL the time. I often listen to talk radio, and raio comedy shows and sci-fi on BBC Radio 4,5 or 7 whilst I play games.

I do the same thing as THX i listen to the music the first time through but afterwards i listen to other music or just play with no sound, mostly out of habit of playing way past my bed time as a younger kid.

I mostly put my own music on when I'm playing a fighting game, FPS, or just plain can't stand the music on the game.

I do like to listen to music when playing games, generally Metal, Punk and other Alternative stuff. The only game I generally won't play while listening to music is Counter-Strike, as good hearing is a vital skill to have in the game.
