Gutted! Mum was saying I should wait until the weekend to order the camera but I ordered it on Wednesday because I was going to end up buying it anyway. Today I got an email from Amazon advertising a promotion - Buy the 400D then enter a code and get the 2GB Sandisk Compact Flash, and Semi Hard Case for free. That's £50 worth of stuff for free.

So I went to my basket to cancel my order... It's bloody processing! So I can't cancel it. I've emailed them asking if I can still get the promotion. I know they refund the difference if it drops in 30 days but I don't know about promotions.


 grrr Sad



Edit: I spent 25 minutes on the phone but got nowhere other than having the option to cancel the order after I put the phone down. They said they couldn't find the promotion anywhere. Anyway, I cancelled the order once I could and reordered it all for £400. I'm not too bothered about the shoddy looking case but it's £19 off the order that I can spend on presents for other people... or put towards a better tripod for myself.

Oh and titanium coated razor blades are utterly amazing.
If only i could get a set of obsidian blades... i wonder why noone has tried to corner that market yet...

Oh thats why. Obsidian is too weak of a stone :-/
It can be rediculously sharp and used for highly precise cutting of flesh though.

I love my boss, I got a $500 Christmas bonus at the Christmas party last night.  Not bad considering I won't make that much in a month.

Ugh i got called up by the DM for Stripes and asked if i could help out one of the stores on the Island and pick up a second shift.
I said yes, then no i had to do errands, then called back and said fine but i would probably be in late since i was still in Corpus.

Then she said i would get a 20$ gas card in addition to my regular pay.


So much for trying to get shit together to sell and work on the site. I would make more money staying home and doing that but at least it earns me brownie points so i can hopefully get a raise even though i am back down to part time. :-/

  • Wooteth! My camera was dispatched today, so I should hopefully have it on Monday.Cheesy
  • When I was signing off at work today I was asked for my loyalty card. "What loyalty card?" I was supposed to have a card on my first day so that when I work 12 consecutive matches I get a £25 bonus. So far I've done six days but only one counts towards the bonus because they can't back date it. I've got four more days booked up, so I would have qualified for a smaller bonus for doing 10 days if I had this card from the beginning. Sad
  • Mum put the Christmas tree up without me. Sad
  • I've now got that "cosy" feeling of Christmas - when it's cold outside and warm but not stuffy inside. Smiley



I might have to buy one of these to go with my camera.  slick
