I've been doing some video editing on my new PC. It's sooooo much faster to convert videos from one format to another. My old PC would do a chunk of stuttered video, pause for a few seconds, then do another chunk. This one does DVD size video in real time with no pauses and it does small videos with no pauses and much quicker than real time.

I need a real job.

We picked up a Pinnacle rig called Video in a Box or some shit like that.  We used it to convert our miniDV into a nice video with music and some still shots inserted.  It was about $100 at Best Buy and well worth the money.

Dad bought some non-alcoholic Cobra beer for himself but it was actually alcoholic. "But they look exactly the same!" Yeah, except the alcohol free one has a green label and green glass and the one with alcohol is gold with brown glass. It tastes pretty good. Quite yeasty without the sweet sharpness of premium lagers.

The smell reminds me of dad's old off licence. I used to visit him at work at the weekends and he got me to take crates out of the cellar to the back yard for collection from the brewers. The cellar had puddles from the odd broken bottle. The beer went stale and the smell wasn't very nice.
