I have nothing of importance to add.
Except it took me 40 mins to close out by myself at work.

Well technically closer to 25... i was playing Fusion Frenzy and dealing with peoplpe who decided a closed fence with me counting the drawer meant i could still sell them shit...

I hate people.

I know how it feels to hate people.  There were many occasions where I just wanted to close my store (I was the location manager, though I was always the closer, as it was the most difficult shift), but it was against park policy to usher people out of the store, though on occasion security would help with that.

Luckily, when I worked at Best Buy, they had no problem kicking people out.

they have me opening today, though I usually close.  The store closes at 10:00 and all the time we have people come knocking on the door at 10:15 or later who then get pissed off because we won't let them in.

You play by the rules too much.

I think our 1996 Vauxhall Astra is on it's way out. I put about two litres of oil in it just before Christmas. The warning light came on again today, so I put a bottle of oil in and it's only just above the minimum.

It's a turd, anyway. It's not a heap of junk, it just isn't very good.

I'm drinking from a mancan tonight. It's a 1litre can of lager called Faxe. I've also got some faux Stella Artois called Belgique. You can tell it's fake by the "ique" i.e. Diamonique.

Isn't everything amazing? Like how leverage force gets higher the further from the pivot it is. And how we have come from a few amoebas to a race that makes things to just look nice. Look around at everything man made. Isn't that amazing? How did humans develop language, and why are there so many different ways of saying the same thing? That's amazing. I think it's amazing that we've come from nothing to caring about how we position in society. People care about how fast their computer is, or how quick their car is, or how big their penis is. Why? It doesn't help anything important. Why do we think the way we do? We're just a series of chemical reactions. If so, why do we care if we die or not? In the grand scheme of things, the human race is nothing. And yet it's nearly everything we know. What's amazing is how big the universe is. The Earth isn't even a speck in our galaxy. Can we even be sure physics in our solar system are the same as the physics in another? Maybe Alpha Centauri doesn't even have atoms.

Life, the Universe, and Everything is so amazing.

Why do I have hairs on my knuckles? Any reasoning is just speculation. Why do I have fingernails? They're amazing but so pointless. What's so important about making the human race carry on for as long as possible? Once we're dead we're not exactly going to be worrying about it. It's amazing that two masses are drawn to each other by gravity but it's one of the weakest forces we know. Nano particles are small. How do we know they actually exist? Are we supposed to trust "scientists"? And who are all these "scientists" we hear about on the news? "Scientists have discovered the best way to bake a scone". Are these the same type of people who "discover"particles smaller than the smallest known, simply by doing some mathematical equations? How do they fund these "technological advances"? Why should anyone be funded for anything? Everyone should do their thing just because they feel like it.

Amazing.

I hate metaphysics, it's like magic that has scientific terms and is therefore real.

It's been so long since I've been on the Internets that I've forgotten what to do...

The past few weeks have been nerve-racking...

After being unemployed since September and underemployed for months prior to that, a company in Atlanta calls me out of the blue last week and offers me a helluva job...they want to open a branch office near where I live and they've heard about me and wanted to get me involved...

"Heard" about me?  I think they paid me a compliment.  Talked to one of the HR people today and I'll be getting more phone calls tomorrow.  They want me to start ASAP...

Holy shit I think I'm freakin' out...I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight...

Sorry for the arrogant sounding thread, that's not how I meant it...I just can't believe my damn luck  speechless

Dr Pepper Berries & Cream. How is it possible that I can hate a flavor and yet love it at the same time?
