Don't wish him shitty wishes, that's rude.

I'm not Scott but I think he meant that the situation is rather shitty, and that he hopes that James' dad gets better soon.

I hope everything turns out well for your father, James.

Thanks for the well wishes.

They had to wait twelve hours for enzymes to be released before they could take a blood sample to see if it was a heart attack. That meant taking a sample between 3-6am. It turned out to be severe angina but they reckon it would have led to a full heart attack a couple of hours later, so it's a good job he went in when he did.

Dad's being kept in until after the weekend. He takes Warfarin which thins the blood, so they've taken him off it to thicken his blood. Then when it's thick enough they'll do an angioplasty, where they put a tube up an artery in his leg up to the heart and put a balloon or a mesh in to keep the artery open.

He seemed ok when I went to see him last night, although he was a bit high on the drugs he'd been given.

Don't worry your title is safe. No one on the boards is close to you in the jackass department.

We are going to fight to the death over that title.
I choose the time, you choose the weapons.

So as not to be undone in the time department, for the weapons I choose wind-up clocks, they should be heavy enough.

Scott i really hope you intentionally started this fight to the death via heavy time pieces.

It would only make the scenario that much cooler.

Strangely there were no head chefs at work today, so it was just me and one other guy, who I'm friends with. Between us, we made soup, prepared the salad/sandwich fillings, prepared some vegetables for the main course, made mashed potato to go on top of the cottage pie that was made last night, and cooked some cheese croquettes all in two hours.

And, of course, it was a busy day with lots of orders for the two of us. We were nonstop for the hour after we started serving lunch. We had to cheat a bit and get the dishwasher to help peel the carrots. He's the one who used to take drugs a lot. He was hunched over the bin with a carrot in one hand and a peeler in the other, holding them about eight inches from his face, very gently and slowly peeling them with his eyes wide open. He ended up spending ten minutes not actually peeling anything. He was just moving his peeling hand back and forth.
